Step 1 of the Surgery

Melissa and I will be arriving at Methodist hospital at 6am tomorrow morning. The surgeon will perform the first procedure in which a grid of electrodes will be placed directly on her brain. This first part of the operation is expected to last 4hrs +/-. We are unsure at this time exactly when this procedure will begin but I will provide an update as soon as I have any information. She will most likely spend tomorrow night in the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit and be placed in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit the following day. Once Melissa is able to have visitors, I will post her room # etc. for those that would like to visit.
